I recieved a coupon for a free Unreal candy bar at bzzagent.com. The other two I bought with my own money.
Unreal candy has a mission to take the candy we known and love and unjunk them (removing hydrogenated oils, corn syrup, artificial colors, flavors, and preservatives). They are competitively priced with the rest of the candy section.
MY REVIEW:
It took so long for me to find this candy! I visited several Walgreens and CVSs that did not have it in stock. I finally found it at a CVS, but the black packaging kind of hides it in the sea of colorful candy wrappers. They had them on the very last row of candy as well. Hopefully it becomes easier to find in the future, because I really like the idea of unjunking food!
I bought all three of the smaller sized bars they had:
The MandM Style (UN41) - I was a bit surprised when I saw the candy colors. They were kind of gross looking. It doesn't really bother me, but I think kids might have a problem with it. These tasted good, but they were not my favorite.
The Peanut MandM Style (UN54)- I liked these a lot. I think the strong peanut flavor helps cover up the chocolate flavor. Not that the chocolate flavor is bad, it just is different than the artificial stuff we are all used to!
The Reese's Style (UN77)- I really liked these! The peanut butter tasted fresh and not artificial. They taste like the homemade ones my mom used to make.
Overall, I enjoyed this candy. I know it is not a health food, but if I am going to eat candy it might as well be one without all the artificial stuff in it! One bad thing about this candy is you can't help but compare it to the "originals" since they look and taste very similar.
I really want to try the snickers version, I hope I am able to find it eventually!
